The Municipal and Regional Theatre of Kavala (DI.PE.TH.E. Kavala), as part of the 69th Philippi Festival, announces an open call for participation in the free workshop \u201cThe Metamorphosis of Antigone\u201d, an original artistic initiative that connects ancient drama with local history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of the workshop is the creation of three-dimensional portrait dioramas of contemporary \u201cAntigones\u201d, inspired by the tobacco workers of Kavala and the historic tobacco workers\u2019 strike of July 1933\u2014women whose struggles, memories, and sacrifices left an indelible mark on the city\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop will be led by Giorgos Karakantzas, a visual artist and director with extensive experience in experimental theatre and visual art installations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
