A few words about the project:

Trying to escape the consequences of his actions, a failed artist, Don Juan, takes refuge in his father’s bar. There, in a distorted reflection of our society, Don Juan discovers that his true talent is winning followers. He charms the disoriented patrons and forms a cult around his personality. As the bar is transformed into a “Church,” a place of expression for a New Age Cult, and his followers become increasingly devoted, the boundaries between faith and manipulation become blurred.

In this updated version of the hero, Don Juan becomes the ultimate symbol of our times, possessing two crucial “talents”: the absence of ideology and boundless ambition. Unbound by any moral constraints, Don Juan engages in a trade of hope, offering the easy path to happiness to each of his followers. Thus, he becomes a mentor without a moral core, a merchant of dreams who promises unlimited freedom, but fails to foresee the disastrous consequences that the shallowness of his teachings may cause.

This groundbreaking new take on Don Juan features a great team of collaborators: Alexandros Kouros wrote the music for the show, which is performed live on stage, with lyrics by Panos Vlachos. Dimitris Polychroniadis is responsible for the set design and Matina Megla for the costumes. Panagiota Kallimani is in charge of movement and Valentina Tamiolaki designs the lighting.
