Arthur Miller’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, “Death of a Salesman,” directed by Giorgos Nanouris and starring Vladimiros Kyriakidis in the lead role, will be presented on Wednesday, August 6, at the Ancient Theater of Philippi, as part of the 68th Philippi Festival.

Alongside Vladimiros Kyriakidis, a great team of actors takes to the stage, including: Efi Mouriki, Renos Rota, Dimitris Gerodimos, Katerina Mantziou, Giorgos Koskorellos, Panagiotis Papadoulis, and Socrates Aggelis.

Written in 1949, Death of a Salesman is considered the American author’s masterpiece. It deals with the life of Willy Loman, a traveling salesman who lives confused between the present and the past, trapped by the American dream. The unbearable struggle for survival, according to the standards imposed by a highly capitalist society, leads him deliriously to the destruction of his entire life.

The set design is by Giorgos Gavalas and the costumes by Deni Vachlioti.
